Martial artist, 75, still gets his kicks

Washington Township resident Gary Lanfrank, who's competed with Sulick for 40 years, said he's impressed with Sulick's longevity in the sport. He co-owned a karate school for several years in Dover, N.J., and has been inducted in several martial arts halls of fame, including the World Karate Union Hall of Fame and the Worldwide Alliance of Martial Artists Hall of Fame.

National Games dismiss local election worries

The Jakarta Post, Jakarta The 17th National Games (PON) in East Kalimantan will be held July 6-17 as scheduled, State Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs Adhyaksa Dault announced here Monday. "As for power supply, besides the 4 megawatt generator in each main stadium, the regional administrator has also added 19 generator sets with 50 megawatts of power," he said, adding that next Monday the minister would have further talks with state electricity company PLN about the matter.
