IRA men launch new appeal against detention From Belfast Telegraph Mark as Spam Change Category Five Dublin men jailed for IRA membership, who last month lost their High Court bid for release from Portlaoise Prison, are now appealing this to the Supreme Court. Last month they argued that the Special Criminal Court did not have the jurisdiction to try them because of the failure to charge them directly after their arrest.
