Power Squadron celebrates 53 years of service to Port Clinton area From Port Clinton News Herald Martin Recny presented a program on the origins of the United States and Port Clinton Power Squadrons. Jerry Smetzer will be conducting a two-day, boating safety course for the general public the first and second Saturday of March and May 2008 at Lakeside Marina on Ohio 53. Dandan 5th graders get boating safety lessons From Marianas Variety Dandan Elementary School completed a four-day workshop on water and boating safety conducted by the Department of Public Safety's Boating Safety Unit in collaboration with the Public School System. The 10 Aqua Smart lessons for water and boating safety workshop, conducted on Feb. 19-22, allowed the students to view lessons on video and discuss their knowledge and experiences regarding the subject.
