Three days of fun on the sand From Saipan Tribune Baxter teamed up with 2004 partner Randy Steele while Baxter was paired with Chris Nelson. After two days of action, the men's pair of Baxter and Steele, and the women's team of Chie Iwana and Yoko Miki emerged as the top winners of the 2008 edition of Micronesia's longest-running beach volleyball event. Iwana and Miki, meanwhile, thwarted the title retention bid of Italy's Federica Tonon, who teamed up with Dawn Penebaker of Hawaii.

Models + Volleyball = Boredom? From blogs.miaminewtimes.com/riptide/ But soon after that big ball of gas in the sky started beating down on the beach goers with the full force of global warming, models in bright green and pink bathing suits took to the sandy area behind the restaurant/club to play at the Third Annual Model Volleyball Tournament. Apparently, Miami is apathetic on Saturday mornings, either that or scantily-clad, well-shaped women and men playing on the beach is such a standard occurrence that people really didn't give a damn.
