Natural Gas: The Alternative Clean Energy Investment
From Seeking Alpha
These non-DITD alternatives would be: 1) Wind power 2) Solar power 3) Geothermal 4) Bio-fuels While I am very excited about all these energy sources, I firmly believe they are not yet ready for investors. Without a per unit tax on polluting source of energy, alternative sources of energy will never be economically viable. The US and ROW will start to reduce the practice of using pulverized coal power plants and move to much cleaner NG plants. Also NG powered cars will rise in use with both...

For some, survival requires alternative energy
From USA Today
Three arrays of solar panels on the roof and ground reveal the extreme effort required to live off the power grid, in the desert. Briggs' solar panels and small wind turbines spinning their 2-foot blades charge 12 golf-cart batteries that he says can store power to keep his 800 square feet of space lit for three days if necessary. Alternative energy top goal
From HollandSentinel.com
The Holland Board of Public Works is discussing involvement in a wind energy project in Wyandotte, creating a similar project in Holland, buying biomass energy from northern Michigan or hydroelectric power from Ohio and Kentucky, board Chairwoman Maryam Komejan said. For wind energy to make up 10 percent of the board's energy production, it would take 31 turbines producing 100,000 megawatt hours per year at an initial cost of $116 million, BPW General Manager Loren Howard said.
