Mike Rounds joined dozens of other governors Monday in lobbying President Bush to support efforts to wean the nation from foreign energy sources and develop new domestic sources of alternative energy. Mike Rounds joined 46 other governors Monday in lobbying President Bush to support efforts to wean the nation away from foreign sources of energy and to develop new domestic sources of alternative energy. Bush agreed with the governors but at the same time told them that traditional energy sources will still be an important part of the nation's energy mix for years to come, Rounds said after an hour-long meeting at the White House.
