Hitting the beach for limb preservation

It may be the dead of winter, but come Saturday, 800-plus Coloradans will be enjoying life in sunny Margaritaville, thanks to the Limb Preservation Foundation's Mountain Mardi Gras. The Latino Community Foundation of Colorado is celebrating its first anniversary by awarding $200,000 in grants to 13 organizations that are led by, and serve, the Hispanic population. Foundation chair Ron Montoya will present the checks at a March 6 reception, and notes that the recipient agencies also will be given technical assistance, leadership training and network opportunities in the coming year.
