Fresh crop dominates Andhra auctions

In a trend reversal, fresh chilli crop dominated auctions at the market yard here last week and this week, earning higher prices than cold storage (old) chilli. While the minimum price for the fresh crop common varieties stagnated at Rs 2,600 on the first two days of the week, the special varieties lured buyers into paying higher prices above Rs 3,800 on Tuesday.
