There is, however, much more to the scene than meets the eye, and the Fond du Lac Area Agri-Business Council has implemented an event to help the public learn about the different aspects of agriculture. "The goal of the showcase is bridging the gap between consumers and producers, said Brenda Gudex, director of agriculture programs for the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce. Fond du Lac County 4-H Ambassadors at 1 p.m. * Juvenile Firesetter Program presented at 2 p.m. by the Fond du Lac Fire Department, featuring two presentations. Brenda, who teaches alongside Ann Meyers, assistant ag ambassador, in the Agriculture Ambassador Program, is also part of the 200-member Fond du Lac Agri-Business Council. The board of directors meets monthly, planning events and programs such as Breakfast on the Farm, the Agriculture Showcase, creating scholarships and the Agriculture Ambassador Program.
