Best Japanese Sushi Restaurant in LA

What Japanes Sushi restaurant do you consider the best in LA? When San Gabriel Square first opened 15 years ago, there was a sushi bar that catered largely to elderly Chinese who had first tasted sushi during the occupation. One of the most ironic things is that most of my Japanese American friends laugh and would never think of going to these high end "BEST" omikase type sushi restaurants.
